A security checklist when commissioning an app

The question “we’re going to have a freelancer or company build an app — what should we do?” comes up a lot. Starting with the smallest list:

• First, create the necessary documents.
• Secure your accounts; if possible, don’t sign into them from shared networks/computers.
• Secure the code and the app.
• Check the SDKs used.

These may look like the technical team’s job, but they’re steps the party commissioning the work should own from the start.
