Give AI tools step-by-step documents

Both Cursor and Claude often can’t do a task when you just say “do this”. But if you give them a document explaining it step by step, they can complete it in a single prompt.

I think we’ll see companies restructure their documentation with this in mind. I ran a test: I wrote the steps to add a paywall to a project as text; giving Cursor that text and a prompt, I got the project to show a paywall in two prompts.
