Gaps in the early visionOS SDK

In the early days of the visionOS SDK, I found that some very basic things we rely on weren’t there yet.

At the time, tools like Firebase didn’t work on visionOS. Many pieces containing platform-specific code also failed to compile or behave as expected. Testing your dependencies early on a new platform’s first release cuts down on surprises.
